The 440 Tiller is the Salcombe Flyer entry level 'NON CONSOLE' version of our popular Sport hull. This is ideal for both Inland and Coastal Waters and she is perfect for fishing or diving activities where more deck space is required. A good option too for commercial operators or sailing clubs as a lightweight, easily manoeuvrable and very stable safety / rescue craft.
The long shaft transom will take tiller control outboards up to 40hp and a portable 25L fuel tank. There's also enough room for a battery between the two rear seating pods for running electric start or power trim and tilt engines / accessories and comfortable seating across the main bench and bow seating areas.
We recommend an engine of 30hp to benefit from the hull lift and planing capabilities, or pottering about with an 8hp or even an electric motor for stealth fishing trips on local rivers.
